JUST BETWEEN US unites guitarist Rudy Linka and pianist Lorenzo DeFinti in a lyrical dialogue that bridges jazz, classical, and folk traditions. Their music blends melody, rhythm, and silence with effortless grace, revealing both spontaneity and depth. Prague-born and New York–based Linka, a Jim Hall Fellowship recipient and collaborator with John Scofield and Jon Batiste, is celebrated for his melodic clarity and subtle touch. Rudy Linka (1960) utekl z komunistického Československa do Švédska v roce 1980, studoval klasickou kytaru a kompozici. Navštěvoval prestižní Berklee College of Music v Bostonu a rok na to The New School v New York City, kde si osvojoval hru na kytaru s legendárním John Abercrombie. Rudy Linka vystupuje a nahrává alba a jednotlivé skladby s takovými jmény, jako jsou např. John Scofield, Paul Motion, Bob Mintzer, Jon Batiste. Časopisem Down Beat byl zařazen mezi nejlepší jazzové kytaristy světa. Rudy Linka je zakladatelem festivalu Bohemia Jazz Fest, který se koná v Česku a každoročně jej navštíví kolem 80 000 návštěvníků!
Rudy Linka born 1960, in Prague, Czechia. He escaped communist Czechoslovakia to Sweden in 1980 and continued his studies in both classical and jazz guitar and composition. He was awarded the prestigeous Jim Hall fellowship to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston and a year later at The New School in New York City where he studied with John Abercrombie. Rudy has performed/recorded with John Scofield, Paul Motion, Bob Mintzer, Jon Batiste and was voted as one of the best jazz guitarists by the readers of Down Beat magazine.
Rudy is the founder and the Artistic Director of the international music festival Bohemia JazzFest that takes place every July in Czechia and attracts over 80 000 attendees.
Lorenzo De Finti – klavírista, skladatel a zakladatel Lorenzo De Finti Quartet
Švýrarský klavírista spojující evropský jazz s rockovou energií. Se svým kvartetem vytvořil Lorenzo nový hudební výraz plný lyrické intensity, jemných hudebních nápadů a hluboké emocionální melodiky - styl označovaný jako fúze skandinávského ,,nordického zvuku" se středomořskou lyrikou. Ve svých improvizacích přivádí Lorenzo posluchače do nových krajin krásy a nedefinovaného spolubytí. V případě spojení jeho klavírního stylu s kytarovým umem Rudyho Linky se skutečně máme na co těšit.

Swiss pianist and composer Lorenzo De Finti stands at the crossroads of European jazz, chamber music, and rock-infused energy. With his Lorenzo De Finti Quartet, he has shaped a distinctive sound marked by lyrical intensity, refined interplay, and a deep emotional resonance — often described as the meeting point between the Scandinavian “Nordic tone” and Mediterranean lyricism.
His upcoming album, Backlash of Uncertainty (Losen Records, 2025), continues this artistic path, blending acoustic purity with electronic textures in an exploration of resilience and creativity in uncertain times. Previous releases — We Live Here, Love Unknown, and Mysterium Lunae — established De Finti as a voice of poetic strength and modern sensitivity, drawing comparisons to Esbjörn Svensson Trio, Shai Maestro, and Tord Gustavsen.
De Finti and his quartet have toured extensively across Europe, performing at leading venues and festivals from Scandinavia to the Mediterranean. Beyond his work as a performer, he serves as an artistic director and producer at RSI Rete Due, the Swiss national radio, curating the acclaimed concert series Tra Jazz e Nuove Musiche.
Through his compositions and performances, Lorenzo De Finti invites audiences into a world where improvisation, melody, and atmosphere converge — a space where beauty and uncertainty coexist, and where silence speaks as powerfully as sound.
